Taking Back Tinian!

We need to take back Tinian away from the current leaders who misrepresent the good people of Tinian. They have embedded a tainted reputation of our beautiful island and continue to act on personal agenda to further their own interests and possibly pocket thousands of dollars. These officials need to be called out for their mistakes especially if they intentionally do so for personal gain. They need to be stopped and if TakingBackTinian can help stop them it will be through the viewers help. Join us take back Tinian and put people first before politicians.

You may remember during campaign season when the current officials, namely, Senators Jude Hofschneider and Francisco Cruz, Representative Trenton Conner, Councilmen Patrick Manglona, Esteban Cabrera, and Jose R. Cruz, Jr., and Mayor Ramon Muna Dela Cruz preached for change.  Not only did they mimic President Obama’s campaign message, they deliberately failed to do 1/15 of his movement–false promises if you ask us.  Many of these officials during their initial quarter of taking office either went to Guam, Philippines, or China to bring “tourists” into the CNMI, particularly Tinian, this was in 2010. It is now 2012 and the people is still waiting for the false promises they vowed to complete before mid-term election.  Too many Asian trips, too many junket trips, and no accomplishments.

Let’s state some facts: Senator Cruz went to China to bring tourism back, where are these tourists now? Last time we checked, the tourists coming to Tinian is due to the hard work of the Tinian Dynasty and NOT the delegation.

Hofschneider and Cruz went to DC to talk to Kilili about other pressing issues. However, you only see them follow the foot steps of Senator Paul only to be tagged as a disciple.

San Nicolas has not done a thing for the people of Tinian since his inauguration. Should I say more?

Conner finally did some work and endangered our very own “donne’”, thanks for stopping us practice our tradition and culture.  I believe claiming to be a sharp elected official can do better that the aforementioned effort of getting our famous donne’ sali tagged as endangered, another federali-minded.

The Council is a statue only to go on junket trips, make donations, and a resolution body. Ton B, you need to go back to the council to do the real work, wait, the people are rooting for your 2014 mayoral bid. We will prevail!

And our Mayor, well, can you please stop wasting government funds and local funds to move your personal interest and agenda forward? Please stop embarrassing the people of Tinian with your inability to think level-headed? Can you please just step down and have your former CEO run the mayor’s office because he alone can do your job, plus 100 times more. That’s the man of trust, not your current CEO.

Let’s take back Tinian, people! This is our island and we should never allow these big heads bring us dry to the ground just as they have been doing since January 2010! A SAD TIME FOR TINIAN!

It is good that there is a place for the citizens of Tinian to air out their concerns and voice their opinions. It will be better if we lead by example and not go into name calling and accusations based on rumors and not fact. We need to teach our children that it is okay to voice their opinions but not to put down or call people bad names. We also need to teach them to separate fact from rumors. This website is great and I am proud and grateful for those who made it possible. Biba Tinian!

… You have to remember that we, as the people of Tinian, elected these officials. We can’t put the blame solely on their shoulders. WE elected them to represent Tinian, to represent us. Seriously, how many times have we had elected officials who kept false promises…ALL THE TIME!! If the island wants to base an election on who has more beer, can talk the most [bleep], and has more family ties, then it is always going to end up like this. If we really want change, we should start nominating, representing, and voting for educated people with actual degrees and not just “experience.” I mean, what experience do they really have? Experience with corruption? Think about it people, real change starts with how we vote. If we can vote corruption in, then we have that exact same power to elect officials who can help better our islands in a way we can be proud of.

Concerned, why don’t you start a movement as well; talking doesn’t do much. Consider this site a pushing ground. Also, please refrain from profanity, it will not be tolerated. Thank you.

I wasn’t aiming to start a movement, just giving some constructive criticism and insight to what you have going on. I apologize for my profanity.

Concerned, thank you for your comments. I am confident that you will one day make a positive movement for our youths and our island. Enjoy your weekend.

One person that Taking Back Tinian has always forget to mention, I don’t know if Taking Back Tinian is supporting Senator Frank M. Borja, but, Senator Francisco M. Borja is the one who is really behind everyone and everything that is going on. I believe that he has the biggest pocket and he is still not satisfied. he is one shark that never gets full. Senator Francisco M. Borja just manage to manipulate the Tinian Delegation to agreeing to support e-gaming budget bill that will allow e-gaming in the cnmi. I wonder how much did he pocket this time.
